Distribution:- Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Hispaniola, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, United States (South Florida), Venezuela,Possibly found in Margarita , Martinique and Trinidad and extinct on the Cayman Islands

Comments:- Grows to Approximately 4 metres (13 ft)

 

In Cuba naturally-occuring hybridization may exist with the Cuban Crocodile
Crocodylus rhombifer in the wild
